I have this dear friend of mine who is gay and lives with his boyfriend. He was taken to the hospital last night (he is 27) and diagnosed with diverticulitis. Could this condition be caused by anal sex? He told me he was too embarrassed to ask the doctor.
it might be but most likely not. diverticulitis has to do with the large intestine block by food or other particles and includes extreme constipation. hope hes okay and i know as hard as it is (and sometimes embarrassing) he really should be open with his doctors. it could save his life.

i don't think so. But he is pretty young to be getting this disease o.o Maybe he just doesn't get enough fiber. But i honestly don't know, i just really feel like anal sex has nothing major to do with it. However, if somehow he managed to get a tear in his colon from it, that might be a different story…but i don't know how someones penis could do that <_<.. But once again, i dont know much.
