Detox from Lortab addiction?
I have been taking Lortab 10's for over a year now for 3 foot surgeries I've had. Currently I have to take 5 about 45 min before getting out of bed in order to not be miserable…I'm not taking them to get high, I'm taking them to feel normal and not suffer withdrawals. I want to stop because I can't afford it and I'm afraid for my health. I want to live normally again! Currently I take 10-15 pills a day. What is the easiest & quickest way to detox without going to my Dr. for detox pills….please help!
Marie, is the doctor prescribing 15 tablets a day. If you are in serious pain, and are not using them to get a buzz are you taking only what doctor prescribes. You don't say what your injury is, but I would think either talking to you doctor about taking a time released pain pill (if the pain is real), that would be the best idea. If you want to withdrawal by yourself, try taking 3 tablet less every 5-7 days. You might have someone hold the medication for you so you are not tempted. If you want to get off them fast, you are looking at a lot of physical and emotional pain. To stay off them you need to start counseling or atleast 12 step meetings God Bless ReggieR
