Baby with a colostomy bag? im wondering has anyones baby had to have a colostomy bag…if so why and for how long and how did you deal with it…thanku for your answers i to am dealing with a similar problem and am just wondering how other parents dealt with it … any suggestions or advice welcome

my daughter had one from the time she was 1 month old until she was 5 months old.
I hated it because it just was not normal.
and i like it cause all the poop went in the bag so no poop papmers.
ANSWERS: I used to be a nursing assistant and dealt with them on adults. I think the only advise that I could give would be to have all your supplies ready before you change the bag. As you know once you start your cannot really stop. I also learned to wait awhile after the person ate to change or empty the bag.
