St. Joseph’s Medical Group said that Dr. Robert G. Yavrouian, a colon and rectal surgeon, has joined the practice of colon and rectal specialist Dr. Peter Tuxen, with offices located at 1805 N. California St., Suite 409, Stockton.
Yavrouian attended medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine, completed a general surgery residency at San Joaquin General Hospital and most recently completed his colorectal surgery fellowship at the University of Southern California. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the San Joaquin Medical Society.
Randy Bling, director of planning and purchasing for Florsheim Homes, is the 2011 president of the Building Industry Association of the Delta.
Bling, a registered civil engineer, received a bachelor’s degree in engineering from California State University, Fresno.
Mortgage House Stockton recently added Pam Teresi to its staff of lenders.
Teresi has held a real estate license for more than 30 years and has been a senior loan officer for more than 20 years. She recently fulfilled the licensing requirements of the new Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System.
The San Joaquin Engineers Council has announced the recipients of the 2011 Engineer of the Year Award and 2011 Distinguished Service Award.
Engineer of the Year goes to Lex Corrales, who began his career in 1963 as a student intern for R.W. Siegfried & Associates and later accepted a full-time position after graduating from San Jose State University with a degree in civil engineering.
He became a principal at Siegfried in 1985 and was elected president in 2000 by the board of directors.
The 2011 Distinguished Service Award goes to Nader Shareghi, who started his full-time engineering career in 1986 with the city of Stockton as a junior civil engineer.
Shareghi left Stockton in 2002 to help build the Mountain House community. He is currently the public works director of the Mountain House Community Services District.
Corrales and Shareghi will be honored Feb. 24 at the annual Engineer’s Banquet at Grace Covell Hall on the University of the Pacific campus.
