Yes, a "colon cleanse" really does not cause an actual weight loss of fat cells, it simply cleans out the colon which can seem like a loss of weight due to the loss of accumulated bowl. So, you are correct, this is not an affective weight loss practice.
You also do not need a fiber suppliment if you are having daily bowl movements. Some lucky people have twice daily movements, and those who are not so lucky have one every few days or once a week. Those who do not have at least a daily movement needs a supplement. Sometimes medication can cause constipation or irregular movements. Doctors often instruct patients to take an over the counter supplement with each dose of medication. Pain medications are notorious for causing issues with movement.
You have this answered yourself, but it is good to ask around if not fully sure of the correct action to take. Our health is important and many fail to understand how irregular or minimal bowl movements cause serious health issues and consequences. A stuffed colon can cause colon diseases and even cancer. There are far more serious issues than the pain and/or discomfort of irregular or minimal movements.
When you colon cleanse what you are getting rid of is bacteria that clings to the intestinal wall,normal b.m. does not get rid of all the bacteria.And when bacteria is allowed to stay you do retain more water, fat, and you lose alot of energy.Loss of energy means you probably wont be near as likely to get up and exercise which means you wont speed up your metabolism and your body wont burn the necessary energy- the stuff you ate,proteins,and carbs. So you end up getting big around the middle, then everywhere else. You can look up colon health on alot of websites, try google and go thru the list!!!
