Following the closing night feature of Violet Tendencies, NewFest Executive Director Lesli Klainberg and Steve Mendelsohn, Co-President of the Board of Directors, presented the 2010 Filmmaker Awards. Among the presenters were actor Ash Christian, documentary filmmakers (and past honorees) Kimberly Reed (Prodigal Sons) and John G. Young (Rivers Wash Over Me), Narrative Programmer Jonathyn Pankrantz, Documentary Programmer Cameron Yates, and Short Films Programmer Bryce Renninger.
