Constipation And Sore Colon?

For the past year Ive had problems with constipation. I'm only 31 so I doubt it's colon cancer. Also not one person in my family has had it at any age. I do have IBS or Colitis so maybe that's what's causing it.

I had a CT scan of the lower half of my body about a year ago when all of this started and they found nothing abnormal in my colon.

My stools have been flat or not nice and round like normal. When I have a decent bowel movement my colon hurts a little and I can feel the poo come out of my colon.

Anyone know what might be causing this? I've pressed down on my colon area and no masses so not sure if it's a spasm from my colon?

Another symptom I have is I constantly have to wipe all day because my underwear gets stains on them. Sometime when I wipe there is some watery blood on it.

If anyone has answeres let me know. I would go to a specialist dr but they are booked for months.

Go to your regular doctor and get a referral, then the specialist will see you sooner. If you have colitis, then the ulcers in your intestines could be bleeding. Or maybe you have a spastic colon. Either, way, you need to go see the specialist!

U may kindly seek an appointment with gastro-enterologist. he will take care of Ur problem
in its entirety.

id go to your doctor and get some meds and/ or see what he/she reccomends

Blood coming from your rectum is something that definitely needs evaluated by a physician. Given your lack of family history of colon cancer it is most likely not that, but still needs to be ruled out. A colonoscopy, or at least a sigmoidoscopy should be done.
The chances are that you have 'internal' hemorrhoids. There is a blood vessel that surrounds your rectum a couple inches in. This would explain the pain when you poop, deformed stools, and potentially blood, but you really NEED to be evaluated by a physician. Even hemorrhoids can be dangerous if the vessel breaks…

Constipation At A Glance
Constipation is defined medically as fewer than three stools per week and severe constipation as less than one stool per week.
Constipation usually is caused by the slow movement of stool through the colon.
There are many causes of constipation including medications, poor bowel habits, low fiber diets, abuse of laxatives, hormonal disorders, and diseases primarily of other parts of the body that also affect the colon.
The two disorders limited to the colon that cause constipation are colonic inertia and pelvic floor dysfunction.
Medical evaluation for the cause of constipation should be done when constipation is of sudden onset, severe, worsening, associated with other worrisome symptoms such as loss of weight, or is not responding to simple, safe treatments.
Medical evaluation of constipation may include a history, physical examination, blood tests, abdominal x-rays, barium enema, colonic transit studies, defecography, ano-rectal motility studies, and colonic motility studies.
The goal of therapy for constipation is one bowel movement every 2 to 3 days without straining.
Treatment of constipation may include dietary fiber, non-stimulant laxatives, stimulant laxatives, enemas, suppositories, biofeedback training, and surgery.
Stimulant laxatives should be used as a last resort because of the possibility that they may permanently damage the colon and worsen constipation.
Most herbal laxatives contain stimulant-type laxatives and should be used, if at all, as a last resort. Passing hard stool can irritate the rectum and cause swelling this may be why you need to wipe so often and the watery blood on it sounds like you have hemorrhoids do to straining .Most often a stool softener can bring much relief to this .
