Odor during colostomy bag change?
During a recent colostomy bag change after i took the bag off and cleaned off my skin i noticed a different odor and i never noticed it before…and its quite strong…is it normal?

In a previous question, you mention that you had a high temperature. If this temperature is from a bacterial or viral infection (such as gastroenteritis), the odor of your stool may change as a result of that infection.
As you probably know, the odor of your stool can also change due to your nutrition or hydration habits.
If the odor persists longer than a week, check with your physician. Due to your initial health problem (spina bifida) this question may be a little too complicated for Yahoo Answers.
