Latin Kings in Humboldt Park?
Im doing a history project on West Town in Chicago. My family lived there for sometime so I thought it would be neat learning about that area. I was wondering what type of impact the Kings had in the 1960-1990 in the Humboldt Park area? or anything special about the Kings in humboldt park. I know about the gang in general just wanted to know more about them in the Humboldt park area or West Town area thanks.

I have to draw Tullus Hostilius-a war-like king from roman history for latin. What should he look like?
does anybody know who tullus hostilius is??? well, u don’t have to. o, and by the way, thanks for clicking. i have this latin project and i have to draw a picture of tullus hostilius-this war-like sort of evil roman king. i want to draw a manga. what should he look like??? i want him to look sort of shaggy… he has to be wearing a toga-i think. The thing is, i can’t draw something unless it is fully visualized in my head. I have to have a group of triplets and one dude fighting in the backround (the curatii and the huratii-u probably don’t know who the heck they are…) These dudes have to be wearing war gear i guess… PLEASE HELP!!! (p.s. pics would be great.)

He’d have to have a Roman nose, of course. A receding chin helps make a person look evil. A receding forehead and a brow ridge make a face devoid of intelligence. Set the ears low, and make the eyes closely and deeply set, and you have a face that is hostile, indeed.

I need a website for Latin root translation of words/phrases?
I want to put a phrase of words – the title of a fictional book within one of my novels. Where can I go to type the words in and get the translation?
Here is what I want translated:
-Book of Kings
-Kings history
-Book of Guardians
-Letters from Kings
I am still working on the title that’s why I need a place to type the phrase and get the translation from the site.

Don’t know what’s going on, but:
Liber Regum is Book of Kings
Historia Regum is Kings History (literally, History of Kings)
Liber Custodum is Book of Guardians
Epistolae a Regibus is Letters from Kings.
I can find custodium as an alternate to custodum and regium as an alternate to regum, although listed as uncommon.
As for the spelling of Epistolae and the preposition + ablative construction being Medieval, that seems to be incorrect. Cicero wrote Epistolae ad Atticum, and in that is: ‘Litterae mihi a Quinto fratre adlatae sunt,’ which is ‘A letter has been received from my brother Quintus.’ (If it’s a single letter, the plural of the word for ‘letter’ as in ‘letter of the alphabet’ was used.) If ‘epistolae’ and a + ablative was good enough for Cicero, that seems to say it’s OK and cetainly not Medieval.
