Im doing a history project on West Town in Chicago. My family lived there for sometime so I thought it would be neat learning about that area. Liber Regum is Book of Kings
Historia Regum is Kings History (literally, History of Kings)
Liber Custodum is Book of Guardians
Epistolae a Regibus is Letters from Kings.
I can find custodium as an alternate to custodum and regium as an alternate to regum, although listed as uncommon.
As for the spelling of Epistolae and the preposition + ablative construction being Medieval, that seems to be incorrect. Cicero wrote Epistolae ad Atticum, and in that is: ‘Litterae mihi a Quinto fratre adlatae sunt,’ which is ‘A letter has been received from my brother Quintus.’ (If it’s a single letter, the plural of the word for ‘letter’ as in ‘letter of the alphabet’ was used.) If ‘epistolae’ and a + ablative was good enough for Cicero, that seems to say it’s OK and cetainly not Medieval.
