Here’s a big update on what’s been happening over the last 6 months or so.. – weight is still between 65 and 66kg – so I haven’t gained back what I lost last year, which is great! I still can’t beleive that I got so big… – health habits wise – not always so good, I have a tendency to eat less than optimal food (poutine anyone?!) but most of all to be erratic with my eating, which isn’t so good… I also have to admit to enjoying a few too many glasses of wine – this one is probably the big issue, not getting drunk – more not having enough alcohol-free days to balance… though that said – I do always look to my dear Aunty Pat for inspiration who died last year sadly just short of her 90th but who was active and enjoyed life till the day she died (travelling, playing bowls, wearing killer heels!) and enjoyed a glass of wine and a good scotch every day! – exercise has been very erratic and not very good
I find that my work can make it hard to plan unless I’m more organised! If I plan to go to the gym with timling – then someone will call me and book a session for the late afternoon meaning I don’t go… of course the easy solution for this is to get up and go to the gym in the morning (unless I have an early booking) – simple isn’t it – yet somehow doesn’t happen all that much… – also just a bit of a flat feeling of not looking after myself properly… and not doing stuff that I enjoy (like bushwalking, climbing etc etc) I think I tend to wait for other people to be able to come with me – and not just get up and go! Also not doing stuff like get my hair done, teeth checked out etc etc So here I am again – turning over another new leaf (hmm – wonder if I need a new book by now with all the new leaves over the years) Firstly by redoing the Blackmores 10 day detox I did in January… I’m currently on Day 3 and am going fine… Also I’ve promised myself to have some sort of treatment every week – being a Mistress can be very hard on the body, and I also feel better when I’m better groomed etc… last week was a visit to the podiatrist – which wasn’t super urgent cause it’s winter and my feet always get much rougher in summer… however it was good to get the dead skin taken off! This week I went to the Ginseng Bathhouse for soak, scrub and massage – which was (as always) great, I’ve been going there for 10 years I worked out – eep! The bathhouse is ideal for my detox also because sauna, massage, scrub and all the the natural products that they use are fabulous for the detox process… Anyway – just thought I’d update here again.
