Your Questions About Colon Hydrotherapy Results

Daniel asks…
Has anyone had experience with Colon Hydrotherapy? +results? negative? problems?

Jill answers:
I did a series of colonics a couple of years ago, and I would have to say that it definitely changed my life for the better. The experience itself wasn’t all that enjoyable, but the results were definitely worth it. It can be a bit uncomfortable when you’re full of water and the therapist is massaging your abdomen, but the therapist I saw gave me essential oils of peppermint and eucalyptus to inhale when I was feeling nauseus (which helped). Overall it made a big difference in my regularity (which I hadn’t thought was bad before), as well as with my seasonal allergies. I would definitely recommend it.

Ruth asks…
Colon Hydrotherapy Vs. Taking colon cleanser?
I have been debating on taking colon hydrotherapy (colonics) for a while. Some people have said it is easier to take a colon cleanser orally to achieve the same results. Which is better?

Jill answers:
For what you get out of it, neither is worth the $$$$$$$$. The pills are expensive and so is the colonic. I did 2 of them in the past. I found that eating a proper diet and drinking lots of water will actually give you the same results. Also, the insertion of the speculum during the colonic hurts. Try it if you want, but you will probably feel like you wasted your money.

Linda asks…
Differences between Bowtrol/Oxy-Powder/etc & colon hydrotherapy?
What are the differences in the *method*, and the *results* of the treatment for an over-the-counter colonic like Bowtrol or Oxy-Powder when compared to a colon hydrotherapy performed by a doctor?

Jill answers:
The differences in the method is that Bowtrol and Oxy-Powder is taken internally in the form of a capsule. Oxy-Powder has a slightly more restricted diet, and with Bowtrol you can continue on your normal diet without much change except it is recommended that you drink more water.
With colon hydrotherapy, you lie on an exam table while purified water run very slowly in the colon. The abdominal area is massaged while the water is flowing out into a glass viewing tube. In one session approximately two to six liters flows in and out of the large intestines. Both methods will give you the same results – a cleanse and detox of your intestinal system. However Bowtrol/Oxy-Powder is much less invasive and you can do this in the privacy of your home.

John asks…
Question about Colon Hydrotherapy/ Colonics -are they safe to do even while you are not on a cleanse program?
I have had them before and really had great results. At the time I was doing an internal cleanse and part of it was to have 3 colon hydrotherapy sessions. I would really like to get a colonic soon because I am feeling icky lately and love the feeling of being cleaned out. But are they safe to do while not cleansing? I have been eating all the normal things that I normally eat lately, meat, baked goods, fruit, veggies..pretty much everything. I don’t eat junk food or very unhealthily, but I’m defintly at the time not eating only clean foods. Please no answers on your opinions of colonics whether they are safe or not, I already know that they work well for me. I’m just wondering if people get them while they are not cleansing, Thank you

Jill answers:
Hi Rissa, yes you can take a colonic while not cleansing. I know several people that take them once a month along with enemas to help keep things moving.

Mandy asks…
People who have experienced colon hydrotherapy or colonics…..?
What was your motive for getting it?
Did it help you?
Did you get the results to wanted?
Would you recommend it or do it again?
Any other information on this you would like to share would be greatly appreciated.

Jill answers:
It cleans out the colon. People get it since their colon is full of it. Unprocessed plant foods have plenty of fiber and keeps the colon clean. Meat, dairy, wheat and other stuff clogs the colon. See this site below for more on this and something that you can do yourself at no cost.

John asks…
What are some opinions on the Acai berry diet?
I’m trying the free* trial of Acai pills- specifically the “Lean spa Acai” diet pills. Was this a good choice? Along with the Colon cleanser. Does anyone know anything about this? What are some of your own reviews on this?

Jill answers:
I’ve heard so many people being ripped off by acai “free” trials. They get your credit card number & start charging. Many people have complained that they had to cancel their credit cards to get it to stop (after being charged several hundred dollars.)
Acai is just a berry & doesn’t have any magical properties.

Thomas asks…
Good detox or cleanser?
So I’m 15 years old and about 20lbs more than I should be, So I was wondering what’s a good cleanser/detox? I hear all the time that before you decide to workout and what not that your supposed to Detox your colon? Something like that. And I wanted to know what cleanser Is good. I went on the GNC website and the ones that I saw were “Quick Trim” and another one called “Simply Slender Lemonade Diet” But I don’t know if there any good? I’ve read the reviews and half of the people say there terrible and the other half say there amazing, So I really would like help on that.

Jill answers:
Totally false. You don’t ‘detox’ your body with some shake and nothing ‘builds up’ in your colon, unless you have some abnormality. And the things that actually hang around in your colon are suppose to be there. Hah. If you want to detoxify your body you need to eat a clean diet all the time. As in: lots of fresh/frozen fruits and vegetables with vitamins and antioxidants that support function down to your cells and help fight free radicals in your body. Little processed or packaged foods; try not to make every meal out of a box as they are loaded with chemicals, preservatives, and belly bloating sodium. With an otherwise calorie conscious, balanced diet and exercise, your body will feel totally different in a month. Also, if you’re still worried about your colon, try taking some probiotics that will keep the good bacteria throughout your whole body in balance, you can find them in most yogurt or if your diary intolerant try a supplement from GNC that is vegetarian. I have mild IBS and I take one that has 10 billion bacteria and is, i believe vegan friendly, that really helps my lovely symptoms.. But it’s $35. Make sure you check the expiration date as the bacteria will eventually die.

Paul asks…
colonoscopy?
I am having a colonoscopy this week .My dr. is doing one to find out what is causing my cramping and abdominal pain. I have never had one done before (I’m only 25), but am worried–Will I be fully asleep during this or just out of it? I have read that ask people to move positions during this procedure, and wondered how people could move if they’re awake. Any advice or info is appreciated. Thanks!

Jill answers:
You can request sedation, but from personal experience it’s TOTALLY NOT NECESSARY. I had mine done with a very tiny amount of Demerol only (and I didn’t want that, but the Dr insisted.) Except for about 2-3 seconds of very mild cramping when the Dr went around the transverse colon, the entire procedure was completely painless. I watched the entire thing on the monitor. It was very interesting believe it or not. I even watched the Dr remove and cauterize a polyp..also totally painless. Your colon has no nerve endings, so if you just relax you’ll be fine.
Should you choose sedation, please DO NOT GO WITH VERSED!!! Versed is an amnesiac that does nothing for pain, the only thing it’s good for is to give you memory loss so you won’t recall the procedure. This is a very bad drug and should be banned entirely from use on people. I had it once in 1991 for an endoscopy, and I’ve had anxiety and depression every since. You may want to check out www.versedbusters.com, and www.askapatient.com. About this god-awful drug.
You’ll be fine, don’t worry. Once it’s over you’ll laugh about how scared you were to go through with it.
Feel free to email me if you’d like, and let me know how it went.
Best of luck, I’ll keep you in my prayers.

Jenny asks…
Colonoscopy?
I have to have a colonoscopy in a week. My doctor said to purchase a bowel cleanser from my local drugstore. Can anyone recommend a good colon cleanser that will empty my bowels? What have you taken prior to having a colonoscopy?

Jill answers:
Colon Blow

Susan asks…
How much does a colonoscopy cost for a dog?
My dog has chronic colitis. We have ruled out parasites (done fecal tests) and food allergies (we’ve done a food trial already). The next step will likely be a colonoscopy from what I’m told. Has anyone had a dog who underwent a colonoscopy – if so, how much did it cost? In the thousands or hundreds of dollars? I’m just curious.

Jill answers:
It’s about three hundred and fifty plus here.
Before you do that, have you just considered switching foods? Colitis is an autoimmune problem where the colon swells. I would assume allergies are to blame. Or how about the vet giving a simple round of steroids to see if it clears up. At least then you will know for sure if swelling was involved. Have you done a round of antibiotics just to make sure it isn’t a bacterial infection in the colon?
You are a good dog owner to consider this. Chronic colitis isn’t curable, so you will be dealing with it for the rest of her life if that is the correct diagnosis. You might consider quality of life issues too.

Donald asks…
Can a colonoscopy help detect prostate cancer?
My father recently had a colonoscopy. After the colonoscopy, the doctor told him that the prostate was very firm and in good shape. How could he detect this?

Jill answers:
The doctor sticks their finger inside the rectum when they lubricate the anus prior to the insertion of the colonoscope. At this time the doctor’s finger can and should feel the prostate which is just inside the anus. At this time the doctor can determine the size and firmness of the prostate.
Explain this to your dad for father’s day. He’ll be impressed.

Mark asks…
What is difference between colonoscopy and barium enema?
Just had a colonoscopy but now have to have barium enima because colonoscopy would not check everything. Had barium enema several yrs ago and was very simple (done in doctor’s office) doctor and nurse. Colonoscopy was done at hospital surgical wing. A bunch of nurses, etc. Much more involved. Same thing for wife a few yrs ago. As an added thoght Is this a scam for goughing insurance?
Clarifyy question: why do
a colonoscopy that may not answer problems and then do a barium enema. Why not do the barium enema first?

Jill answers:
No both are valid diagnostic tools.

What are your thoughts on colon hydrotherapy?
They stick a tube up your butt and cleanse out your system. Supposed to keep you regular, cleanse you from the inside and help you lose weight.
A gay mans heaven in my opinion. You get something shoved up your bum and it helps you lose weight!
It’s 3pm here puta ;P

Jill answers:
YOU are my colon cleanser smexy lol
moaning, nooner and night

Ken asks…
does colon hydrotherapy help in removing bad bacteria from the colon along with gas and bloating?
anyone who can share his/her personal experience… pls
hi izzy can you tell me how you got to know that there is no bad bacteria in the colon?pls ……

Jill answers:
There aren’t any bad bacteria in the colon. A study of living human anatomy shows that the colon is at no time dirty or clogged.
“Colon cleansing is known to disrupt the balance between natural enzymes and bacteria in the digestive tract. Dehydration, anaemia, salt depletion, are also associated with colon cleansing programs.”
See your doctor before you damage your own body.

Robert asks…
What is colon hydrotherapy like?
I’m thinking of having a colonic irrigation/hydrotherapy session and was just wondering if anyone has had it done before? Is it painful or uncomfortable? Do the practitioners use herbs in the water?

Jill answers:
I have been taking a colonic about 4 or 5 times a year for over 40 years. It does not hurt and you will feel like a million dollars afterwords.

Sandra asks…
Recommend Colon Hydrotherapy?
Please report your personal findings on this process. Pros & Cons, etc… Do you recommend it? Alternatives to colon hydrotherapy?

Jill answers:
It can be beneficial if done properly. My husband had it done years ago, but unfortunately he had a bad experience.
It really isn’t a necessity. There are good natural herbal cleanses these days that clean out the intestines very well and eliminate parasites and old fecal matter. I much prefer them as an alternative.
I use Herbal Fiberblend. I think it’s the best of its kind, but there are others that are good, too.

Joseph asks…
Which health insurance providers reimburse for colonics, colon hydrotherapy?

Jill answers:
Im sorry, but as far as I know, none of them do. The medical field does not endorse any kind of treatments like this. A colonic can be very expensive these days, about $75 per treatment, and you should have anywhere from 3 to 5 treatments in a series over three weeks. I do a series of enemas at home and get just as good results as a colonic for allot less money.

does acai berry make anyone else poop alot?
ps. what is the best acai berry pill or brand to take…? thank you

Jill answers:
The Acai Berry will make you poop so to speak because that is one way that it helps you flush the fat and toxins from your body.
As far as what the best brand is I would have to say Acai berry select because it doesn’t have any fillers in it like most others do.
There is a really good review explaining what the acai berry can do for you at the link below. If you really want to learn more about Acai Berry you will visit the site below and read everything on that page.
Good Luck!!

I just ordered a free trial bottle of Acai pure. Anyone who has used this does it make you poop alot? is it really a cleanser to where you are constantly on the toliet? lol hate to be so graphic but i have to know! Also does it work?

Jill answers:
I wouldn’t say a lot but it does make you go more often. It’s worked so far for me.

Lizzie asks…
Questions about the Acai Berry!?
Is it normal for it to make you hungry? Doesn’t it make you poop? How long does it take to see results?

Jill answers:
Acai Berries are just another fruit. They have no proven medical benefits whatsoever. Pomegranates, Concord grapes, blueberries, and red wine all have far more antioxidants. They will NOT help you lose any significant amount of fat.

Helen asks…
acai berry cleanse & fat burn, normal poop? diariah? help?
i’m planning on getting the acai berry cleanse with fat burn.
i’m wondering if i will have normal bowel movments or diariah.
and if you have used it, whats the side effects?
hwo much did you lose?
how long did it take?
ps. i workout everyday and eat healthy, im just trying to lose some extra pounds and make my stomach flatter and such

Jill answers:
Those products are absolutely bullshit. The fact that the ads are plastered over tons of sites and there is bots/spammers posting answers recommending them makes it that much more obvious. Don’t waste your money on it.
Daily cardio and a healthy nutrition is all you need.
