I was told that in order to jump start your weight loss, you need to some type of detox. Is this true?

Not really…It supposedly reduces your sugar ans carbs cravings…it didn't reduce mine but I lost more weight on that time than later doing the normal diet.

Does a detox really jump start your weight loss, or is it just the "hype" right now?

those who have been on a detox for the liver how long did it take before you could eat grains and sugars again? I will beable to start eating animal protein at the end of the week. how long after that should i beable to eat grains and sugars?

my mother has a colosomy bag and recently the bag has been filling up and bursting after eating.She had it fitted 15 yrs ago but now she has loads of wind and diahrea why is this happening?

I suggest that your mother see her doctor or the dietitian about her diet. It's obvious her gut is creating too much gas. I would have thought it strange though there not being a vent on the bag. Sounds like she has been given the hospital type ones.

Although mine has now been closed [the operation reversed after my gut was given six months to heal] When I was in hospital I had the closed type, but after I was discharged I went onto the vented ones.

Assuming you live in the UK if I remember correctly you get them sent from St Albans or somewhere near there. Is it possible she was sent the wrong ones?

Of course the other thing depends on how much she lost. I was lucky I only lost five feet of my colon which didn't affect me much. Whilst I had it I had a sheet on what to avoid whilst using them.

My papas was filling up and bursting, is she changing it enough or has her brand of bag changed?. Also if she has wind it will be filling it with wind aswell maybe. Its best to get it checked by her nurse if she has one who checks on her regular or if not then maybe call her doctor and ask for some advice oreven nhs direct 0845 46 47 and speak to one of the nurses.

I would suggest she makes contact with the stoma nurse at her local hospital or perhaps ask her doctor to refer her. It could well be diet or changes.

I want to start drinking detox tea but there are sooo many different brands/types out there. What is your favorite? I want to improve my skin as well as aid with my new workout/diet. Just total body cleansing I guess.

serious question. ive started eating alot of fruits and veggies. now my poo smells really bad. almost like cat droppings. is this a good thing? is it like a detox or something?
