Your Questions About Colon Hydrotherapy Results

Daniel asks…

Has anyone had experience with Colon Hydrotherapy? +results? negative? problems?

Jill answers:

I did a series of colonics a couple of years ago, and I would have to say that it definitely changed my life for the better. The experience itself wasn’t all that enjoyable, but the results were definitely worth it. It can be a bit uncomfortable when you’re full of water and the therapist is massaging your abdomen, but the therapist I saw gave me essential oils of peppermint and eucalyptus to inhale when I was feeling nauseus (which helped). Overall it made a big difference in my regularity (which I hadn’t thought was bad before), as well as with my seasonal allergies. I would definitely recommend it.

Ruth asks…

Colon Hydrotherapy Vs. Taking colon cleanser?

I have been debating on taking colon hydrotherapy (colonics) for a while. Some people have said it is easier to take a colon cleanser orally to achieve the same results. Which is better?

Jill answers:

For what you get out of it, neither is worth the $$$$$$$$. The pills are expensive and so is the colonic. I did 2 of them in the past. I found that eating a proper diet and drinking lots of water will actually give you the same results. Also, the insertion of the speculum during the colonic hurts. Try it if you want, but you will probably feel like you wasted your money.

Linda asks…

Differences between Bowtrol/Oxy-Powder/etc & colon hydrotherapy?

What are the differences in the *method*, and the *results* of the treatment for an over-the-counter colonic like Bowtrol or Oxy-Powder when compared to a colon hydrotherapy performed by a doctor?

Jill answers:

The differences in the method is that Bowtrol and Oxy-Powder is taken internally in the form of a capsule. Oxy-Powder has a slightly more restricted diet, and with Bowtrol you can continue on your normal diet without much change except it is recommended that you drink more water.

With colon hydrotherapy, you lie on an exam table while purified water run very slowly in the colon. The abdominal area is massaged while the water is flowing out into a glass viewing tube. In one session approximately two to six liters flows in and out of the large intestines. Both methods will give you the same results – a cleanse and detox of your intestinal system. However Bowtrol/Oxy-Powder is much less invasive and you can do this in the privacy of your home.

John asks…

Question about Colon Hydrotherapy/ Colonics -are they safe to do even while you are not on a cleanse program?

I have had them before and really had great results. At the time I was doing an internal cleanse and part of it was to have 3 colon hydrotherapy sessions. I would really like to get a colonic soon because I am feeling icky lately and love the feeling of being cleaned out. But are they safe to do while not cleansing? I have been eating all the normal things that I normally eat lately, meat, baked goods, fruit, veggies..pretty much everything. I don’t eat junk food or very unhealthily, but I’m defintly at the time not eating only clean foods. Please no answers on your opinions of colonics whether they are safe or not, I already know that they work well for me. I’m just wondering if people get them while they are not cleansing, Thank you :)

Jill answers:

Hi Rissa, yes you can take a colonic while not cleansing. I know several people that take them once a month along with enemas to help keep things moving.

Mandy asks…

People who have experienced colon hydrotherapy or colonics…..?

What was your motive for getting it?
Did it help you?
Did you get the results to wanted?
Would you recommend it or do it again?
Any other information on this you would like to share would be greatly appreciated.

Jill answers:

It cleans out the colon. People get it since their colon is full of it. Unprocessed plant foods have plenty of fiber and keeps the colon clean. Meat, dairy, wheat and other stuff clogs the colon. See this site below for more on this and something that you can do yourself at no cost.

Your Questions About Diarrhea Treatment

Sharon asks…

Diarrhea treatment….?

Yesterday morning, I woke up not feeling too great. I had typical diarrhea feeling in my stomach and stuff like that. All I ate all day was some instant rice from the microwave and a Nutri-Grain bar. Today has been similar, and I even stayed home from my two morning classes because I wanted to rest more. I’m definitely not eating enough but I’m trying to drink so I can maintain my fluids, but I’ve basically had diarrhea for the past couple of days now and I’m not sure why. I ate tons of junk food the night before I woke up feeling sick, but would it cause it to go on this long? Also, I don’t really feel that badly (other than my hunger) until the need comes (yeah I know, gross, but get over it). So what should I do? I’m a college freshman, I don’t know how I could just “go to the doctor,” and the BRAT diet is pretty hard to follow when you wake up at 9 am and walk across campus then get back at 11:20 and just want to sleep (ie they won’t be serving toast anymore at the caf). Any advice? Does this sound normal or like there might be something wrong?

PS can depression cause this? I’ve cried a lot recently, but I’m feeling over it by now…. Yeah. Thanks for listening.

Jill answers:

You can drink gatorade to replace body fluid loss. Depression wont be the cause of your diarrhea because germs causes it. :D just try to eat fruits and fluid like food.

You can post your question on http://www.bidanswer.com and get $10 credit on your posted question and lots of eager people might help you.

Jill answers:

True diarrhea in a rabbit is serious and needs a vet’s attention. Are your sure it is diarrhea and not excess cecals? That is serious too, but you can start dealing with that at home before you see the vet. This article should help:

http://www.bio.miami.edu/hare/poop.html

and here are some other articles that may help:

Please call you vet and discuss the situation and what you can do at home until you can get your rabbit in.
Good luck,

Charles asks…

What treatment can we use to treat goats with diarrhea?

Our goats have diarrhea. One has died and another is sick. What treatment is there for them? What’s causing it? We haven’t changed their feed or pasture. Need an answer A.S.A.P Thanks.

Jill answers:

If they are adults, I would say worms. What are you worming with?

If you are not worming (most people are unaware that you need to). Go to a local feed store, buy a tube of ivermectin for horses, and give them the dose according to weight.

As stated, it could be cocci, but that doesn’t affect adults usually, not enough to kill them. It sounds like worms to me.

Be sure to keep them hydrated, I have a doe that I took back from a buyer, because she was so thin, and had diarrhea, I have her on an I.V. And she is on just about every supplement and medicine I have.

If you have a goat savvy vet, I would really recommend a visit. If they are anemic, they could really use a shot of iron, but the dosing is tricky unless you know what you’re doing.

With further questions you can e-mail me at foxifrenubians@aol.com, I’ll try to help in any way I can.

Daniel asks…

Is it natural to still have diarrhea even after you’ve finished the prescribed treatment for amoebiasis?

I’ve taken & just finished the entire course of prescribed secnidazole, but am still passing loose mucoid stools at a frequency of 6-7x a day, but in small to moderate amounts. I’m well hydrated, though. I’m just wondering if I am already considered a treatment failure, or the damage to my intestinal walls are just so severe that it takes a while for the diarrhea to resolve even if the parasites are already killed.

Jill answers:

It would be a good idea to have the docs look at a stool sample – its the only way to know for certain if the drugs actually worked. The drug you are taking itself often causes all sorts of gastrointestinal problems.

Sandy asks…

Dog with moderate diarrhea – treatment?

Dog with moderate diarrheatreatment?
My 10 year old female basset hound has had diarrhea since last night. It’s slowed down to her going every few hours now, and she’s not showing signs of lethargy or dehydration at all. And she’s not vomiting. There’s no blood in the stools. Otherwise she’s just as perky and silly as ever.

How can I help her at home? I’m making sure she’s got lots of water and that she’s otherwise comfortable and not getting sicker. Can I give her Pepto to ease the discomfort?

Jill answers:

My dogs hate the taste of Pepto, so I usually give them a tablespoon or so of Kaopectate – I also find it works better than Pepto.

Thanks for providing all the other relevant information, since that means you know when it’s time for the vet. But the occasional bout of mild diarrhea can be treated at home.

Your Questions About Colon Cleanse Weight Loss

Linda asks…

Acai berry and Colon Cleanse weight loss diet…?

Does this diet/weight loss thing work? And does it work if you have different forms of it for instance i have acai berry pills im not sure what kind and i have colon cleanser from vitamin cottage, if i follow the diet plan that the little known dynamic duo diet at http://www.sallystips.com/
will it still work, even if i have different pills?
thanks

Jill answers:

It will not work even if you have the same pills. These “magical” weight loss pills only work to reduce your water weight temporarily. Your weight might be lower on the scale for a while, but you will have the same amount of body fat. Eat healthy, watch your calories and exercise in order to lose weight permanently. Doing things the “hard way” is worth it.

?

Charles asks…

Is Acai Berry and Colon Cleanse effective for weight loss?

So guys… I have been researching quite a lot after many failed attempts at losing weight i want to come down 3 dress sizes in a space of a year which i feel is fairly achievable, I was wondering whether the two products Acai Berry and Colon Cleanse are effective for weight loss as aparently their natural products obvisouly alongside my normal gym routine? And are the two products safe?

Please try to explain as much as possible.. Thanks :)

Jill answers:

The two products are expensively useless.
Colon cleanse will give you diarrhoea – you lose fluid not fat.
There are no magical berries from Brazil, it’s a hyped up scam.
There are more antioxidants in blueberries, black cherries and /concord grapes.
Antioxidants will not aid weight loss.

Oprah Winfrey, Mehmet Oz, and Rachael Ray have all publicly disassociated themselves from the açai sites that make unauthorized use their names.
The diet ‘bloggers’ are just a mirage, their weight loss is courtesy of Photoshop, not açai.

William asks…

What is the best colon cleanse supplement for weight loss?

I always hear of new colon cleansers everywhere I turn, and I want to know where I a could order a free smaple of a colon cleanser online without wasting my time. Also, how are you supposed to use colon cleanser as a weight loss supplement?

Jill answers:

Hi Megan,

Personally, I’ve had a lot of success with the product Colon Clean (you can get more details on my website if you like – they do offer a good free trial).

Colon cleanse products are designed to help clear out the gunk that accumulates in the intestines over years of eating meat and junk food. Think about it – the human body isn’t designed to process all the artificial chemicals we add to food, so it’s natural for some bits and pieces to get trapped in the colon. These left over bits can lead to some serious health consequences over time if they aren’t addressed.

Using a colon cleanse product removes the left over gunk, so users do see some initial weight loss as the colon is cleaned out. In addition, cleaning the colon enables it to digest foods better, so you won’t have as much buildup in the future. People who use colon cleanse products often report having higher energy levels and feeling healthier overall than ever before – both of which can make it easier to stick with a healthy diet and exercise plan.

The most important thing to remember is to look for a colon cleanse product that’s gentle and includes a pro-biotic supplement. While you’re cleaning the intestine, you’ll be wiping out some of the beneficial bacteria that live there. It’s important to choose a product that replaces them, since low bacteria levels can give you lots of trouble digesting foods in the future.

Anyways, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me – I’d be happy to discuss the program I used with you!

Sara

Jill answers:

For your height, your ideal weight is between 110lbs and 133lbs. You’re well within range.

Are you adequate hydrated daily? You may want to try this Water Therapy.

Drink about 6 glasses of water (1.5 Litres) daily and safe on medical bills (no need medicines, no need injections, no need endless diagnosis, no more expensive doctor fee etc). You can never believe before practicing.

Chris asks…

Colon cleanse for loss of weight?

I need to lose 15 pounds fast. I came on here to ask what exactly is a colon cleanse? Like, What does it do to help you lose weight? How does it help your body? Is it harmful? etc…
Please tell me everything you know about it. Also if you have used it please tell me how it went for you. And if you have any tips for quick weight loss please tell me that to :)

BEST ANSWER GETS 10 POINTS!!

Jill answers:

Colon cleansing has absolutely no medical benefit and is in fact harmful to the digestive system. Old science from the late 1800′s when meat was the main food and people were constipated all the time. Not enough fruit and vegetables.
There is no build up of bad plaque, toxins, or sludge in a normal, reasonably healthy system.
If this was the case we would have people dying left and right from malnutrition since their small intestines couldn’t absorb nutrients.
The majority of the water from food and what we drink is reabsorbed through the colon, if our colons were clogged we would all be walking around looking like sponges right?
Detoxing is ridding the system – liver, kidneys, and intestines of toxins both internal and environmental. Additionally, many toxins are stored in our fat cells so in order to truly “detox”, you need to lose excess body fat as well to fully detox.
Our liver and kidneys aren’t clogged with toxins. Otherwise we would be dead.
The liver does in fact get layered with fat when we become overweight.
We “cleanse and detox” naturally 24 hours a day through respiration, sweat, liver, and kidneys.
We can help by eating a healthy diet with minimal added sugar and salt. Lots of fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grain foods, beans, peas, and brown rice keep a system as healthy as it can be.
Minimal alcohol, caffeine, soda.
Read food labels. If you can’t pronounce it, don’t put it in your body.
A healthy high fiber diet works every time.
Increases the speed and efficiency of the digestive system and helps the body rid itself of both internal and environmental toxins.
Did you know the digestive system is one of the largest contributors to our immune system?
Cleanses actually flush out the beneficial bacteria and enzymes in the digestive system. Search gut flora to learn about the beneficial bacteria we need in our colon.
We have more beneficial bacteria in our digestive systems than all the cells in our bodies!
They don’t tell you about the gas, cramping, and bloating you will experience when you start eating again and the body has to rebuild this bacteria population.
Spend your money in the produce department.
Good luck.

Your Questions About Cleaning The Colon With Food

Robert asks…

What type of food makes you go to the bathroom?

I have had my success with at least 5 – 6 cups of coffee within a few hours. What a colon cleaner !

What’s yours?

Jill answers:

Usually stress and coffee – I just call up a family member, pour a cup of java and voila!

George asks…

Really weird pains. And please before yuo answer don’t tell me to check it out with my doctor. I AM GOING TO!!!

Ok so i am 21, pegnant, and i’ve always been very healthy. I don’t eat processed or bad foods, i usually clean my colon everynight with fibers and oxygen. I drink plenty of water. Been tkaing omega 3 flax oils since i was 15. I excersise. And aside from the typical ailments associated wiht pregnancy i’ve been pretty healthy. Ok with all that said, for the past 2 nights i haven’t been able to sleep on my left side because i feel like my rib cage is bruised or osmething. Not that i can say i really know hwta that feel like though. And also For the past year, I have been getting this sharp pain in my colon that comes and goes every now and then. The pain feels like my colon is probably contracting or maybe like it’s being stabbed by a knife, because it is very sharp feeling. It can come out of the blue, while I’m lying down, standing, or sitting and it stays for maximum of 5 seconds maybe.I’ve never inserted anything into that area and I don’t ever use it for anything except bowel movemen
I’m sorry i typed in a hurry. And i am sorry if i sound rude. I just always see people put “i would check it out with you doctor” right after they must have read how 20 other people already said hte smae thing. SO with that said. I do however appreaciate helpful answers. So thanks in advance.
oh my question is so what do you think? Anyone out there ever feel the smae things as i am? What have you learned about those pains? What came of them? What’s happening with them? etc. etc.
I’ve had this pain for like a year now. The rib cage pain is new the colon one is old. Well a year old. so i dont htink it has anything to do wiht pregnancy
I am 36 weeks.
And thank you thank you thank you for your answers. All of you all helped me.

Now, i’m still going to tell my Doctor tomorrow. But i love when i get helpful answers on here. It makes my day. ;)

Jill answers:

Sounds like endometriosis to me — I have it and I would get stabbing feelings. Feels kind of like someone is stabbing you through your rectum into your abdomen. This is also how I felt when my baby dropped, although it was much sharper, came in waves like contractions, and lasted off and on for two days. How far along are you?

As for the bruised ribs, if baby is big enough and kicking you in the ribs they probably are bruised, on the inside. :) Once I get far enough along I will get pains in my rib cage as they need to make room for baby.

All that being said, ask you doctor. :) :)

William asks…

How to clean my system in 3 weeks?

over the holiday i treated myself like shit: eating nothing but junk food and playing nothing but video games all day. For the past weeks I been wakening up in the morning with a hard conjested stomach and colon. I start school in 3 more weeks so I was wondering the most effective way to clean my colon… my entire system. i want to feel like new again… maybe some meditation too… i dont know… any tips?
was thinking of more natural methods

Jill answers:

Try the Master Cleanse. It’s becoming more popular now that Beyonce admitted to using it. She used it for weight loss, but in reality it is supposed to cleanse your system of toxins in the body. It consists of maple syrup, lemonade (lemon juice) and cayenne pepper. You can find all sorts of receipes for it on the internet. Try the link below….

Lizzie asks…

There is blood when I poo.. ive read it could be anything from hemmroids to colon cancer. Help!?

For some reason Ive never quite pooped “right”. I always would take a longer while to get it all out. Back before everything described below happened, it would take maybe 20-30 minutes to get everything out and be done. Ill give you a quick history of my poop paterns lately…

A month or so ago I had to poo after everything I ate. Anytime my stomach got some food in it, it would become very upset and I had to poo quickly after, many times being diareha. This went on for 2-3 days. Then after that was gone, it became very hard to poo. I would have to strain to get it out, and after a while it became VERY VERY painful to poop.. every time I had to poo I would expect going through hell again. I had to resort to a laxative for a couple days, and then I increased my fiber diet and began drinking more liquids, but that only helped a little.

Now, I am still eating more fiber and liquids, but I still have to strain when I poo. It doesnt hurt as much as it did before, but it is still a little painful. The poo was green for maybe no more than a week, but recently it is not. Now there is a decent amount of blood when I poo (there was blood a little before, but not enough to be notable or significant). The blood will first come out on end part (or the beginning part? cant tell) of the poop, and then I wipe just to see if the blood will show on the toilet paper and it does (bright red). I wipe a few more times in hopes to “clean up” the blood. The first wipe has a bunch of blood on it… enough to cover a good amount of the toilet paper wad, but not enough to make it dripping with blood or anything. With the second wipe, the blood is mixed with feces. It maybe takes 3-4 more wipes to get all the blood off.

After researching online, my first thought was hemmroids caused by my straining. But I just checked in a mirror (about 20 mins after I pooed) and I didnt spot any blood or veins coming out (though it is a bit hard to see past the hair). So what could it be? I went to WebMD and selected all the “bleeding” options in the rectum section and it gave me 20 results ranging from hemmroids to colon cancer. I dont know which one of these many things it is…. HELP!!

Jill answers:

Blood down there, that’s not good. From what you have describe it could be just like you guessed it. Hemorrhoids!

Don’t be afraid, you just have to get the correct diagnose from your doctor. If it is Hemorrhoids, the doctor will put you on some form of adult suppositories for over a week.

*if blood is still present even with treatment there are more invasive procedure that the doctor might order like a colonoscopy.

Maria asks…

Are there ways to help my cat get used to my baby?

My cat has been the baby of the house for the past five years. My son is now six months old, but ever since I became pregnant my cat has been very stressed. She actually has become stressed to the point that she now has mega-colon and has to be taken over night to the vet every so often to have her colon cleaned. It has been significantly better since we put her on WD diet food (she went from 18lbs to 11lbs in a year), but she still seems stressed around my son.

I have been making sure to play and snuggle with her every chance I get, but she certainly does not get as much lap time as she used to. She also loves to be around my son when he is sleeping or nursing, but freaks out and hides when he is playing or if he cries.

Are there any tips for getting her used to life with a baby?

Jill answers:

I would take a blanket (that your willing to lose) that your baby uses quite frequently and hold your cat in it OR put it by your cats bedding. Your cat will become comfortable with the smell of your baby.

I would interact with your cat as often as you could, especially infront of the baby, so she understands that you love him/her just as much.

I would also reward your cat when she comes close to the baby, such as warm praises & treats.
:) good luck

Your Questions About Rectum Problems

Joseph asks…

Rectum problems?

Ehm, it might be a weird question but I don’t think it is – my rectum is seldomly fully emptied and I would like to know what I can do ? And those who can’t answer, DON’T answer.
By the way, I’m gay..that’s why I know ;-)
hey KISHOR LAL
where have you got that information?
all those things you mentioned that i should consider – i do all those things..the bad things..the wrong things..and i don’t understand the exercise you gave me beside the jogging thing..

Jill answers:

Man , you have very itchy problem.. And you have suffered a lot.. By getting wrong answers

but i have suffered same trouble as you had

and I found way after years of trial and error.

First tell me
-are you doing any exercise
– are you taking food at regular time

– do you eat the food as if you are washing down the food and not enjoying it
– do you take regular sleep
– is your waking time a fresh and enegetic or you feel slugish
– is your food cosisting of junk food, pastry, ice cream and sweets
– do you ever think that fruits and fibrous vegetable are must in Food .

Consider all the questions and find out which one you are not following..

And then do one simple exercise at home daily as described below.

Ruth asks…

Rectum Problems?

Hi. I am a 16 year old male.

For a couple of months I began receiving searing pains in my right abdomen if i held in my poop or farts. It seems funny :(

Now my anus has become very itchy, and sometimes i wake up with a sweaty anus which, when wiped, was brown.

Is there something wrong with me?

Jill answers:

I don’t think poop is acidic per se, but it can cause itching if it’s not cleaned off your skin good enough (Come on, it’s happened to us all!) Maybe holding it in too many times too long has weakened your sphincter muscle, causing some uh…. Leakage. I’d suggest you see a proctologist.

Lisa asks…

Rectum problems help please.?

Theres a problem with my rectum. It constanly keeps blowing gas. Especially in public. Please help me.

Jill answers:

Not a problem with your rectum – like a boiling teapot, it’s just your brain letting off a little steam – continue on and stop worrying, just avoid elevators and small closets

John asks…

I think i have rectum problems!?

every time i ate corn last nite i ate 523 peices. when i went to the bathroom i counted cow many peices came out. there were only 302. is there something wrong with my rectum or digestive system?
