Need to find ingredients for a home remedy colon cleanse…

I found a web-site a few days ago that had a home remedy colon cleanse, but my husband switched out our computers and now I don’t have the web site. Try as I might, I can’t find it again, and it sounded like it would work pretty well (and it was simple & safe).
I remember it only had a few ingredients, I think water & good gray sea salt, but I don’t remember proportions etc.
Can anyone help me out?

Im looking for a way to colon cleanse without paying for an expensive program with tons of pills. Im sure there has to be a homeopathic approach. You’re confused about homeopathy.
However, for a colon cleanse that’s cheap, buy a herbal tea called Smooth Move and make the tea with 5 bags instead of one. Cost is under $5.

i remember my aunt telling me about going 7 days without anything except this drink she made, i think it was water, honey, cayenne pepper, and something else, anyway, you’re supposed to have nothing but that for 7 days, then after that, drink some water with salt and go poop a lot.

Its often heralded as a great diet aid to drop pounds fast… Supposedly beyonce drank it to lose 20 for the movie dreamgirls.. In any event theres a few different recipes for it.. This one i found is called the lemon cleanse.. Also included is a salt water flush and instructions on how to come off the lemonade fast as well.. Enjoy!

* 2 tablespoons FRESH squeezed lemon or lime juice (approx. 1/2 lemon)
* 2 tablespoons genuine organic maple syrup, Grade B (the darker the better)*
* 1/10 teaspoon (a small pinch!) cayenne pepper, gradually increase (the more
BTUs the better)
* 300 – 500 ccm (10-14 oz) pure water

In a 300ccm (10-ounce) glass (to allow for 227ccm and mixing room): 2 tablespoons fresh (and organic, if possible) lemon or lime juice (absolutely no canned or frozen juice). 2 tablespoons real (and organic, if possible) grade B or C maple syrup. (Don’t use Grade A maple syrup or maple-flavored syrup. They are over-refined, which means that they are mostly refined sugars and lack essential minerals.) A small pinch of cayenne pepper (to taste). Spring or purified water, between room temperature and medium hot (but not cold) – fill to 1/4 liter (8 oz). Mix all the ingredients by thoroughly stirring or shaking, and drink. Or, in two 1 liter bottles: Juice of 3 lemons, divided equally between the two bottles (about 85ccm or 3 oz per bottle) An equal quantity of grade B or C maple syrup in each bottle (about 85 ccm or 3 oz per bottle) A pinch of cayenne in each bottle Spring or purified water (fill bottles to the top) Mix all the ingredients by thoroughly shaking; then drink throughout the day. Use fresh lemons or limes only, never canned or frozen lemon juice. Use organic and vine ripened when possible. Also, mix your lemonade fresh just before drinking. Don’t mix it up in the morning for the whole day. You can, however, squeeze your lemons in the morning and measure out the 2 tablespoons when needed.

Hi Mae

THe answers on this website really show how ignorant we are in cleaning the toxins out of the body. The average american has one bowel movement every 2 days and almost everywhere else in the world is 30 minutes after eating! If toxins are sitting in the colon where are they suppose to go if you dont have regular movements ? They get in the blood and that is main reason we get illness and disease. We Americans eat so much food that is processed and has all types of chemicals in them. It’s no wonder we lead the world in the most types of diseases known.

To answer your question; the process is to get herbs (or colonics) that help give a person regular bowel movements and cleans out the colon. You can do this effectively with a 5-10 day cleanse by eating organic fruits and vegetables (better yet juicing them) and using herbs to help clear the toxins. (herbdoc.com has a good program)

Who makes money if we are all ignorant and have health issues (drug companies of course)? If we educate everyone to have 4-5 colon cleanses a year our nation would have most of our freedom back. Health freedom anyway.

I’ve got a week to go until my holiday so I want to do a detox

Normally I would just have a fruit smootie (home made) for breakfast and lunch and snack on grapes throughout the day, however, with a small child I need lots of energy.

Is it okay to use canned beans in a detox i.e.

Can of Butter Beans
Celery
Carrots
Corriander
Half a lemon

As a salad?

I would personally suggest against doing a detox with only a week left, unless you only do that for a day or two. It sometimes takes the body 3-4 days at the most (usually 2 to calm down) to “recover from detoxing” (stop any loose stools that come from the high fiber blend you take). That being said, taking that for a couple days should work well to help you feel cleaner for your trip. Good luck!

Are you allowed to use dill? If so then youcould mix some dill with the yogurt along with the spinach and garlic and black pepper and make a nice dip for carrots and celery (and rye bread.

You could boil the cardamom and cinnamon and ginger together, mix in the soy milk add lemon and honey to taste and have a nice chai latte.

You could boil up the brown rice with carrots, celery, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest and carrot juice, spoon the mixture into boiled cabbage leaves, top with more lemon zest and carrot juice and pop it in the oven for stuffed cabbage rolls.

I have done several body cleanses. I had cancer three years ago and did a complete detox before beginning chemo, and it really helped.

I did one that was for the gallbladder and liver, and it really cleaned out the colon too.
You take one table spoon of globber salt and a cup of warm water drink this then do the following
you mix one large can of grapefruit juice
the juice of 6 lemons
one frozen oj can
fill with water to make one gallon.
Drink one gallon of this a day for three days,
only raw fruits and veggies during this time
Make sure you are home and can go potty at any time cause it makes you have to go.

You then mix a 1/2 gallon of water with the juice of 12 lemons,
and a 1/2 gallon of plain water
you drink 1/2 cup of lemon water on the hour
you drink 1/2 cup of plain water on teh half hour
you do this until the water is gone
After you do this,
Drink one quart of natural apple juice
with 90 drops of phos drops (Phosphoric acid)
drink this mix for three days, only one quart per day
The evening of the third day take
8oz of coke cola
1cup of extra virgin olive oil and
juice of 1 lemon.
Mix and drink quickly
use the lemon rind to cleanse the oil taste from your mouth.
Immediately lay on your right side for 30 minutes, no shorter.
The next day you will pass small/large bits that look like broken green crayons, those are gall stones.
You might have diarrhea during this time, it will stop so dont take anything until the next day if it persists.

This was something I really recommend. If you do not have a gall bladder (some people have them removed) you can still do it and it cleases the liver and colon.
Do NOT do it if you have serious liver problems.
This was something an herbalist told me about and it suprised me how many stones I passed for only being 25 at the time.

Detoxing is a waste of time. If you eat healthy food, including plenty or fruit and veg, your body will detox itself. The human body is self cleansing. Starving yourself for a week or a month will do more harm than good.

The BEST possible body clean/detox is the lemon fast.
You take 12 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice
12 tablespoons grade B maple syrup
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
60oz. Water.
Mix them together and only drink it every day, dont eat or drink anything else for three days and it will definitly cleanse your whole body. You will feel so much better, and your body will thank you.

How much Will I lose on the master cleanse diet?

I am 5’5 and 137lbs. How much will i lose on the master cleanse diet if i do it for 10 days?
Also do people usually gain the weight they lost on the diet back after the diet is over?

The master cleanse diet will not increase your metabolic rate of how fast your body burns fat cells. It will cleanse the problematic abdominal areas to where you may loose between 5 and 10 pounds, but not a significant amount of weight as if you were working out doing cardio exercising that is the only way to increase your heart rate to in turn increase your metabolism. I would not be upset with 137lbs at 5’5″ but if you are looking to loose on average of 5 more pounds, the master cleanse will most likely do the trick. To be upfront, if you workout on lets say a stationery bicycle or on a treadmill doing cardio – it will only take 2 weeks at the very maximum to loose 5 lbs or more. Good luck.

Justina – Reads like “rocket scientist night” here on Yahoo tonight.
I know you didn’t ask whether you should or shouldn’t but I will give you my opinion anyway.
The master cleanse or starvation diet you are referring to is a calorie deficit program.
You will lose a few pounds but when you start eating again you will probably gain more weight.
The signal these starvation diets send the body is that there is no more food available.
The body immediately stores any fat it can and begins to burn muscle mass for fuel not the stored fat (metabolism). Stored fat will be used as a last resort when needed.
When you start eating again the body immediately stores any food as fat because it doesn’t know when the next famine is coming.
The complete opposite of what you are trying to accomplish.
If you really want a healthy body for good drink lots of ice water, 100 oz per day. Eat a healthy breakfast to kick start the metabolism. Eat a snack every two hours if possible. Eat three good meals a day, the largest at lunch. No food after 8 p.m. Maybe plain popcorn air popped or cooked in canola oil only.
You need to eat tons of fiber. It cleans the system hourly and accelerates the metabolism.
Eat for health.

No the master cleanse is soo bad! Its only for special occasions and if u want really fast results. You will start to gain the weight back plus more once u quit the master cleanse. It does work but its not healthy. You need to eat. Just do a regular diet. That will cleanse ur body.

Not the way you are thinking of and actually drinking more than 8 glasses (12oz pe glass) of water is hard on your kidneys. The only way water can cleanse your colon is with an enema.

120 is really nothing to scoff at. I wish I weighed 120 again!

Water is a great cleanse for you’re entire body actually.
If you’d like to lose weigh safely & effectively, try to drink as many glasses of water a day as you can. A minimun of 8 glasses daily.

Try to drink the water as cold as you can stand it. The colder the water it, the harder your body has to work to warm the water in order the process & eliminate it. Thus, the more calories you burn. Didn’t think you could burn calories just by drinking water, did you?

Please remember to eat right & maintain a healthy diet.
If you have a portion control issue, then drink 1 glass of water before, & 1 glass of water during your meals. This actually helps you to feel more full quicker.

That does not sound like the best approach. One healthy way to cleanse the colon is to eat a diet that is high in fiber. Eating things like beans, Vegetables, fruits, Flax seeds, and nuts are very helpful for this. Here is an article that might help you: (see source)

Is fasting with water the best way to cleanse your body? I want to start a healthy lifestyle, and by doing that, want to cleanse my body FIRST. Do you have any methods or advice for starting me on the right track. I do plan to exercise and eat healthy as well.

First – talk to your doctor about it, and ask if it’s safe for you to do. Then start with 24 hours once a week. You can start at the morning or evening, whatever you prefer. For example, you stop eating at 6 p.m. Today – will start eating 6 p.m. The next day. Or you stopped eating 8 a.m., started again 8 a.m. The next day.
During the way, eat nothing, but have a lot of water handy. Drink at least 1.5 liters. It has to be pure water, without any additives. You may add a couple of drops of lemon juice (from a real lemon) once or twice.
After your fast is ended, break it with a carrot and cabbage salad (raw). It will clean everything out, like a broom. An our later eat a small sized meal of vegetables.
Do it once a week for a couple of months, then move from 24 to 48 hours.
