Your Questions About Master Cleanse Before And After

Paul asks…
A list of “raw foods” that can be eaten after doing The Master Cleanse?
Hello,
I have been doing the master cleanse for 8 of 10 days now and I read in my book that after the diet, i am supposed to stick to raw foods for a while before eating normal again.
Does anyone have a list of these “raw foods”? My book gave no examples…

Jill answers:
Think veggy’s that’s about the only thing in a “raw” food diet, things like spinach, carrots, celery, fruit…ie no meat, pasta, or other “cooked” food.

Sandra asks…
skin irritation during the master cleanse?
i recently did the master cleanse (10 day fast) and after the third day my upper lip and around my mouth turned red and tight (dry), think bozo the clown (pink around the mouth) . it’s gotten better (7 days later) but still a little pink and tight only on the upper lip. i’ve done the cleanse before and this didn’t happen… some other factors are i was in a house without a/c in the texas hillcountry (95 degrees inside) and sweating a lot, rubbing my upper lip often…. i don’t know what else it could be, maybe i had lime or salt residue on my fingers and it irritated, but i’d think it’d be gone by now.
the fast consisted of drinking fresh squeezed lime juice with 2 tbs of maple syrup and a dash of cayenne pepper with 8oz of water, 6 times a day.
has anyone experienced something like this on the master cleanse, or any other cleanse?

Jill answers:
Rubbing your upper lip probably irritated, but perhaps you were dehydrated – you need to drink A LOT of water on the Master Cleanse. Also, after you handle the lemon and cayenne, wash you hands – those could easily irritate the skin.
The other thing is it could just be part of your body’s response to the cleanse – the cleanse causes your body to purge toxins and some times that can show up in breakouts and rashes.

Linda asks…
Master Cleanse?
I am looking for a good body detox, has anyone tried the Master Cleanse detox? I have read everything on their website, and now I would just like to hear from some people who have actually done it. Please let me know your opinion on it and your before and after weight.
Thanks a lot!

Jill answers:
The master cleanse will get rid of all the toxins and waste in your body. My mom and aunt did it and my mom lost 12lbs and my aunt lost 19lbs. Really if you know that you had a diet of bad foods for awhile, then it will prob work. Once you do it though, it would be best to maintain a good diet with fruits and veggies. I have the recipe and can give it to you, if you want to try it, that way you dont have to waste your money on it.

Helen asks…
What can you eat, and how soon, after master cleanse?
I am currently on day 10, which will be my final day on the Master Cleanse detox/fast. I know tomorrow I can drink only orange juice and water, then the next day is only orange juice and veggie soup for dinner, and then the next day I can have more o.j., water, soup, veggies, fruits, and salad…. but can I have chocolate or sweets? nothing excessive, but even just a piece of something. I want to know when you can actually start having dairy products (the book isnt very specific) – i assume you can probably start on dairy as soon as you know your body can handle really normal meals including meat, bread, pasta, and heavier foods like such. What should I be aware of before eating too soon, as to not get sick as I’m ending this diet?
If anyone could tell me from experience, that would possibly be more helpful.
thanks

Jill answers:
A loaf of bread or some dry rice would probably be fine.

Robert asks…
Has the master cleanse aka lemonade diet NOT worked for anyone before?
hey all…i have been reading abt the master cleanse aka lemonade diet alot these few wks..
it sounds really convincing and from what i read it seems like many ppl benefited from it. What i want to know is, whether it has NOT worked for any one of you.
worked as in if any of you have not lost weight at all after the diet was complete. Also, I am aware that this is only a cleanse and its not for permanent weight loss.

Jill answers:

The Lemonade Diet, also known as the Master Cleanse, is a special diet that cleanses your body of toxins while also helping you lose weight. It requires you to drink 60 ounces of a lemonade mixture every day for 10 days with the only other drink permitted during this time being water. Most importantly, you are not allowed to drink or eat anything else during the 10 day period, or the diet is considered a failure. It is important to follow the rules of the cleanse if you want it to be a success.
The lemonade diet is very popular with thousands of newcomers trying it every year. Many people swear by its ability to not only cleanse you and make your body feel rejuvenated and revived, but also because it helps you lose a lot of weight in a short amount of time.
But what exactly is this lemonade mixture? Well, the recipe is as follows: • 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice • 2 tablespoons of grade B maple syrup • 1/10 of a teaspoon of organic cayenne pepper • Distilled water in a 10 ounce glass
History of the Diet: The Lemonade diet was first introduced back in 1976 when a book, The Master Cleanser was first published. It was brought back to life in 2004 when a second book, Lose Weight, Have More Energy, and Be Happier in 10 Days was released. Many websites and online communities have since been established that help people navigate through their cleanse experiences with each other and starter kits have even been developed to assist newcomers with following the plan.
Health Risks and Warnings: It is important to state that this cleanse should be viewed first and foremost as a cleanse and not a diet, and for the most part, this is healthy if done correctly. But nutritionists and dieticians are quick to point out some of the negative side effects that could pose potential health risks. First of all, this cleanse is not for long-term use. The lemonade diet is strictly a 10 day or less cleanse and should not be attempted for longer periods of time. It is, as the Master Cleanse name implies, a purification method intended to help remove toxins and pollutants from your body.
Nutritionists also point out that this diet should not be attempted in back-to-back intervals. A minimum of three months should exist between each period of cleanse. Trying this diet more frequently could result in severe health problems. Those attempting this diet should drink enough to consume at least the 1200 calories recommended by health care professionals, and you should drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration. If you experience any symptoms of dehydration, including dizziness, vomiting, headaches or blurred vision, the diet should be stopped.
Is This Diet Right for You? Every person is different and only you can make the decision on whether or not you want to proceed with the Lemonade Diet. Do your research ahead of time, and learn everything you can before you begin the process. It is also important to listen to your body. If you feel fatigued, dizzy or experience any negative side effects, stop the cleanse immediately.

If you have heard of the world famous lemonade diet, then perhaps you may be wondering about lemonade diet dangers and whether or not you need to be concerned.
Over the years, people from all walks of life, from all over the world, including famous celebrities, have met with tremendous success with this diet of lemonade! This diet was invented in the 1940s by Stanley Burroughs and it was first known as the “Master Cleanse“.
This diet program works faster than any other diet program you may have heard of. And the best part about this diet is that there are just no major complications about it at all. All you need to do when you embark on this diet program is just drink a juice made up of fresh lemon, water, cayenne pepper, and maple syrup, for around 10 to 40 days.
With any diet program, it is always good to find out all the details and the pros and cons, before going on the diet. In the same way, perhaps you would like to know all about this diet of lemonade and if there are any dangers to it.
One of the things that you must make sure about this diet is that you are not using the wrong ingredients. Though the recipe for this diet is pretty simple, you have to follow it properly. If you do not follow this recipe in the way that it has to be, then you can be 100% sure that the diet is just not going to work for you at all.
People are too used to instant coffee and so they feel that everything can be achieved instantly. This is definitely not the case with any diet program. When you go on a diet program, you have to give it time, if you want to see the effects.
In saying so, it is also true that this diet of lemonade does work real fast, faster than any of the other diet programs available in fact. But, because it works so fast, people have a tendency to stay on this diet for too long a time and this is in fact going to have adverse effects. So, in your first attempt on this diet plan, do not continue it for more than 10 days. These are some of the lemonade diet dangers (if you can really call them that!) that you should be aware of.
Inadequate preparation can lead to failure.
Because the lemonade diet is an intense program, it does require some preparation on your part. It’s simply not wise for most people to jump into the program without first taking some time to eliminate things like junk foods and processed meat from their diets. If you do start the program without eliminating these foods first you are setting yourself up for detox symptoms like headaches, fatigue, and cramping.
Binging afterwards is never a good thing.
This is probably one of the most common problems with the lemonade diet. Because it lasts such a relatively short amount of time, many people find that they binge on unhealthy foods after the program is finished. This happens because you haven’t really changed your eating habits through the process.
Lemonade diet side effects can vary depending on the person buy generally they tend to be rather mild and often dissipate after a few days. Some of the more commonly reported like headaches, dizziness, etc. are known to stop pretty quickly. If not, you should speak with your doctor about your symptoms and get them resolved.
You can easily avoid some of the listed lemonade diet dangers by being educated on the diet and by using a lemonade diet starter kit. They have easy to follow instructions and contain the base ingredients you need to see fast success.

As a disclaimer, I am not a doctor or medical expert and in no way am I suggesting that anyone reading this should self-diagnose or start a detox program on their own without first consulting their doctor or medical practitioner. The following is meant for information purposes only and is not meant to diagnose or recommend treatment to anyone. You should use caution when embarking upon any diet change, cleansing or detoxification program and you do so at your own risk. With that said, the following is just my personal experience and recommendations of others who have dealt with the subject of detox and body cleansing. As a matter of fact, many thousands and perhaps millions of people before you have successfully rid themselves of harmful toxins and helped them improve their health through a proper detox. The method of ridding the body of toxins and waste is known as a detox or detoxification. There are many different kinds of detox programs and some of them target specific organs such as the liver or the gall bladder.A cleansing body detox is a great way to feel better and more rejuvenated. You can feel more energy, lose weight and cleanse the tissues and organs as well as give your digestive system a cleansing. One of the most well known detoxing methods is the master cleanse otherwise known as the lemonade diet. It is basically a 10 day fasting during which you drink only fresh water with lemon juice, a small amount of pure maple syrup and a dash of cayenne pepper. Many people have enjoyed the benefits of such a cleanse and you can too, provided you make sure you have checked with your physician or doctor to see if you have any precautions in doing so.The health benefits are tremendous as you can rid the body of accumulated waste from the tissues and organs as well as the blood stream. We are bombarding our bodies with sugar, fats, alcohol, cigarettes, coffee and other harmful chemicals and products. Even if we do not drink alcohol or smoke, we are eating foods which might be de-natured or filled with fats and sugars and need to go on a fasting diet or a cleansing diet to get rid of some of these destructive elements. Then there is the traditional juice fasting which has been done by many thousands of people to help cleanse and rejuvenate the body. Fresh vegetables and fruits are juiced in a juicer which separates the juice from the pulp and cellulose. A typical juice might be made from greens such as kale, spinach and parsley and a hand full of sprouts along with maybe a lemon and some ginger for punch. The lemon makes the juice even healthier and the ginger is anti viral and has healing properties as well. But aside from maybe adding an apple or pear to a vegetable juice, keep the fruits and vegetables separate when making juices. Avoid the citrus juices and fruits.A water fast is just fasting with only water being drunk. This allows for a real rest of the digestive system allowing for more toxins to be eliminated. If you can, make sure to take a sauna, as a good sweat will help cleanse the skin and pores as well as get those toxins out of the body. Some homeopathic and naturopathic physicians recommend detox kits with drops that you can take that help cleanse and eliminate toxins. Even women can notice that their cellulite starts to disappear when they clean out the toxic materials from their body systems.
